[ running through flames isn't scary at all so she just does this without hesitation?! it's fine she's probably invincible. (she's not.) once she's past she's just trying to go unnoticed by the monsters and inch closer to the door. this should be her specialty, in theory?
but she's facing the way they came from, aiming the rocket launcher now. ]
I'll stop them from following.
[ if everyone makes it past her then she'll fire off the rocket launcher behind them. no chasing! ]
he's going to further impale it, before trying to swing himself around with the thing still attached to his polearm in an attempt to hurl the marshmallow'd creature at one of the other magna beasts. ]
Don't have to tell me twice, yo.
[ if he's successful and still has his polearm, he is definitely going to be using it to hit any of the monsters to help clear the path and get behind miyu ]
[ Considering this is your first floor, and you’re working together, you’re actually doing fairly decently. Monsters slam into walls, some are shot with arrows, and some are impaled and thrown. The rocket launcher isn’t necessary as more and more monsters explode into fiery bursts that splash the magma across the stone.
As the four of you approach the door, a dark purple jewel hands in suspension in front of the stone. With the four of you here, the door rumbles and the stone cracks.
The door gives way, opening up to a new room.
This room is much larger, and it isn’t a straight shot to the door. From where you stand, you can see a path ahead, and a path to your left. The path to your left appears to be the beginning of the route leading toward two exit doors. Ahead of you are a few holes in the floor, and looking below you’ll see an endless abyss. Don’t fall!
You probably shouldn’t stand around for too long though. This time when the monsters appear, they’re the same sickly orange color, but they’re tall, long, and their limbs wiggle every which way. They pace back and forth in the same spots, guarding your paths. But you can probably take them, right? ]
[ now that they're all together and have a moment of respite, kiruko's turning to miyu. ]
Hey, come on -- think before you use your resources! How many shots do you have left?
[ then to everyone, ]
Speaking of... we've got that trick we picked up earlier. We can avoid a fight and conserve our strength and ammo... or maybe we can try to shove these guys into the holes, to finish this nice and quick.
[ Vi can start to inch her way to the left to see the path. It looks as if this path goes straight, and then hinges to the right, and then to the left again. Sort of a Z shape, and there are holes in the floor and shadows lingering around the thinner parts of the path.
You may continue to discuss what you’d like to do, I suppose. ]
Think we should shove them in the holes. Save the power for a time we have nothing else.
You got a point though - maybe toss them into the holes? [ she figures there are gonna be spikes. listen. what else is gonna come out of the sus holes.
she will move a little closer to the enemies to see if she can get a good shovin angle. ]
[ kiruko preps an arrow, pointing it to an enemy farther away from vi... hoping that if that monster gets shot without warning, it'll distract the one next to vi, creating an opportunity for some shoving.
bow at the ready, kiruko will hold off until the others get ready to do whatever they're doing, so they can strike as close to simultaneously as possible. once they are, that arrow's going flying. ]
[ if she's not shooting this rocket launcher she has so little to offer the situation. she doesn't have secret hidden strength she's WEAK and melee is an UNKNOWABLE WORLD!!!!! ]
[ I think Miyu could use her rocket launcher as a melee weapon yeah. But there they go around the holes… as they follow along, it’s pretty easy to sneak up on these creatures! They really just have to wait for them to turn their backs as they begin patrolling the other way.
Kiruko’s arrow goes flying and pierces one far-off monster in the back, causing the other to rush toward it thinking the enemy is that way. Good news! You cleared the path! Bad news, now the monsters are clustered up over by the two doors.
But then again, being clustered up means there’s a good angle to shove if you can sneak up on them.
Elsewhere, behind the doors, they may hear the sound of a loud, rattling clang. That's not alarming at all. ]
she moves right up to the cluster, and tries to use her sword to knock back one monster into the rest in order to send them either into a big hole, or the small sus holes, whatever she can. she has to get close though, so…. ]
[ while vi strikes, kiruko will move a little farther into the room, careful not to step on any sus-looking spots on the floor or stumble into the abyss...
how crumbly are these side-walls? are there any rocks to grab and pocket? ]
[ Surprisingly, this works better in a team of four than doing this by yourself. The walls are crumbly enough on top that you could probably grab some chunks of rocks to pocket. With Nine focusing on the back and Vi in the front, it’s easy for the two long weapons to sweep the monsters into each other and down into the abyss. Nine’s polearm swings, knocking more monsters onto the trap in the floor as thick, rusty spikes impale them. Hm. Why did that feel so easy suddenly... ?
The rattling behind the doors continues, but it’s hard to say which door it’s coming from. As they approach, they will find they can enter one of two doors.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to say which door might be better, as one has a sniper rifle emblem on it and the other has a handgun. You may only choose one door to pass. ]
[ They enter the room behind the handgun emblem, and the rattling chains stop. As they walk forward, the green light gives way to a new room, and walking ahead they will see someone standing in the center circle.
Okay, maybe standing isn’t the word for it seeing how the boy is crouched, but he seems to have been anticipating the four of you. ]
”Welcome back to reality.”
[ Hm. What does that even mean? Who is this clown? ]
well, vi doesn't recognize this kid, but - she is reluctant. she stutters to a stop, lowering her sword and fists, staring at him in the circle. she doesn't exactly want to go full force against someone who doesn't look like a monster? so she pauses, glancing at the others, and then: ]

vi glances at the others, and for the first time maybe in her entire life she stops and thinks: ]
You two wanna try shooting them first so we don’t get swatted into one of the holes?

I have a second weapon. Which is better used before anyone runs in.
[ so if she's going to shoot now's the time, but she won't without permission. also she's looking at that panel with smaller holes. ]
And if you do run in, be careful of that. [ SHE DOES KNOW WHAT TRAPS ARE. although her dumb ass is like 'maybe there are landmines under that.' ]

Definitely try to shove them off, yo. Or we could see about shoving them on those panels on the floor.
