KEY NEUVE.
Lights, cameras, and action! Welcome to Key Neuve, the biggest and brightest city with more thrills and chills than you can imagine! In this almost futuristic city, everywhere you turn appears to be shrouded in neon lights and out-of-this-world structures make up a majority of its layout. But don't worry, you'll find it relatively easy to get used to. The good thing is if you're still a bit wound up from your travels, there are so many open outdoor bars to relax and have a drink at. Whatever you desire will be there; all you have to do is provide a simple tap to the electronic touch pad menus. If you happen to be peckish, there are a variety of restaurants with all kinds of cuisines to be found. If you can dream of it, you'll find it. After all, what's a vacation without endless choices?
Of course, maybe you want to skip the meal and head straight to bed for a nap. "But where will I be staying?" You may ask yourself. Look no further than the Nexus Hotel, fully equip with the best suites you can find. As you enter the first floor, you'll be greeted with an expansive open lobby, spacious and inviting to spend time getting to know one another. You can find all sorts of comfortable seating, travel magazines, and even card and board games to play with your fellow travelers. In addition, you can also find some large conference rooms here for more important matters to be held. But please try not to hold unnecessary meetings here. You're on vacation, after all! Besides, weren't you going to bed? Head on up the stairs (or the elevator if you'd like to get there faster) and check your rooms out on the second and third floor.
Sure, having your basic amenities taken care of is nice and all, but that isn't all Key Neuve has to offer. As you venture out to explore the city you'll find so many general shops to spend hours and hours on window shopping. See something you like? You're in luck! Everything you can get here is for free! Why hem and haw over that new outfit when you can just take it and decide later? Nothing is stopping you from expressing yourself with new styles, accessories and fits from home or other places. Maybe you'll even feel courageous enough to try the things you'd normally skip. Live a little!
All of that shopping can make a person hungry though, but who wants to stop for a big meal when they're on a roll? Luckily, there's an available convenience store for some easy to grab snacks, drinks and anything else that might be readily available for, well, convenience sake. Take what you want for the road and keep on trucking! While the main city is nice, with easy smooth travel from the speediest bullet trains around, you'll be able to go to three unique biomes. Otium, Relaxāre and Natura are just a train ride away and will open up more branching possibilities for your lovely vacation.
OTIUM BIOME.
When there are funs and games to be had, there's no better place than EXCITATRON 9000. Lose yourself in the bright, colorful, and exciting atmosphere of this amusement park where there are roller-coasters, ferris wheels, carousels, and other rides to be found. Everything is always running despite the lack of ride operators, and even the lack of vendors can't stop you from finding various park snacks that taste AMAZING. Be sure to check out the churro donuts: they are especially to die for!
Not a rides person? Worry not! Walk a little further and you'll find a large theater filled with animatronics putting on stageplays of all kinds. But we get it. Kinda creepy! But even animatronics need their rest, so during the hours they aren't performing you can make do with watching some great classic movies from any era! Well. We say classic movies, but for some reason famous actor John Wick is playing every single role in all of the movies being shown. Talk about a one-hit wonder!
Welcome to the LUNA MARKET. Located in the center of the biome, this grand area has many booths set up all around a plaza. Be sure to say hi to the human-sized moles wearing little witch hats! They seem to be the proprietors of some of these booths and would love to direct your attention to the cute fountain in the middle. The moles themselves are unfortunately incapable of speech outside happy friendly squeaks, but at least they seem nice and harmless! This little section is meant for you to get some of your inner mischief out or have some friendly fun with one another. With the plaza stretching far and wide, you need not worry about transportation to get to one booth to another quickly. Just mount one of the giant colorful snails to ride and hold tight! They'll get you there... eventually. ... Honestly, it might be faster if you just walked those couple of steps over instead.
Each booth seems to separate themselves into one of five categories: Potion making, fireworks, magical wands, candy and balloons. Curious to what kind of curses you can get up to? Why not check them out? Any curses cast by the items here will run out within an hour (or if you happen to leave the Otium Biome.) While you cannot take any potions or magic wands outside the area, at least you can keep some souvenir fireworks and balloons! Yaaayy.
RELAXĀRE BIOME.
If it's relaxation you want, then this biome is made for you. Welcomed by hanging lights, this beautiful area doesn’t have streets but rather crystal clear waterways. You’ll have to travel from one place to another by gondola, but you’re in luck! These boats are made for two (or three, if you’re on the smaller side.) Hope one of you knows how to row! As you travel around, music will play to encourage you to sit back and relax. A little nap never hurt anyone, right?
Traveling through this area will reveal big open pools, and every now and then your gondolas will stop off at various buildings holding spa treatments of all kinds. Looking for a place to get your nails or hair done? How about a trip to the sauna? Look around and you’ll surely find a few options. If you’d rather skip the spas, the open pools come with large fun tubes to lay on and drift away. You can also swim laps if you’d prefer, comforted by the water being the perfect temperature. Would you prefer to lay out and get a tan instead? Lucky for you, there are various tanning sunbeds set up outdoors near the pools so you can enjoy a nice tan and some fresh air! But wait, there’s more! You can get a nice massage from the android personnel here, or take a dip into the hot tubs for a nice evening... no matter what method of relaxation you take, you'll definitely want to keep coming back.
Of course, some people's idea of vacation is to sit down with a nice book. Fortunately, there's a two floored library with collections of books from any and every world to be found. If you can find it at home, you can probably find it here! Despite how charming and bright most places in Key Neuve are, this building is more akin to a modern public library for some of that familiarity and comfort. There are endless rows of tables and chairs, with tomes upon tomes on shelves to help yourself to.
Though just sticking with books can be a bit boring for some of you. Or maybe your idea of reading varies from others? You’re in luck! There happens to be some modern computers and a few chill computer games to play. And for those of you thirsty for more creative writing, there appears to be a site set on default on the browser called A*3 that will allow you to read a wide collection of fanfics. Weirdly enough, some might include names of the group here or even people you know of from home. Wow, a fix-it fic of you and your ex lover? You should probably read all 100k words to see how it ends!
NATURA BIOME.
Nothing like walking and touching some grass for that true vacation experience. Walk a little further and you’ll stumble upon a vast, mostly open park with the occasional tree here and there. Look closer, and you might see some familiar creatures roaming around the plains that you would recognize from home! The fauna are all friendly and completely harmless (no dangerous monsters to be found), and the same goes for the flora. This is a grand opportunity to see some things from home that you've only heard of in stories and tales.
Though, depending on the time of day you arrive, you'll find that the seasons alternate! During the morning, spring will settle in nicely with birds singing and bees zipping from flower to flower. By the time the afternoon rolls along, summer will come by and that mountain in the distance seems to have become an active volcano. While lava rolls gently from it, worry not! You're not in any danger! Stick around long enough for the evening and.. you guessed it, it'll be fall! A nice cozy breeze blows through and the colors of the leaves will become a bright crimson red. The winds might pick up a bit high but they shouldn't be to extreme hurricane lengths or anything. How fortunate that the temperature feels juuust right.
And lastly, with night coming to the end of it, what better time for winter to roll in. Snow will blanket everywhere and offer some fun opportunities for snow fights, building snowmen, making snow angels or simply enjoying the nice chill and watching the snow fall with a cup of hot cocoa. How cozy.
Who said you can't let out your inner child? In the south section of the park you’ll find a grand playground. While this playground’s design is cute and structured almost as if with children in mind, it seems perfectly sized for teenagers and even adults to have fun as well! It feels almost more like an obstacle course than a playground, but you’ll find all sorts of standard equipment such as jungle gyms, swings, monkey bars, and even long slides that have a nice loop-de-loop if you go fast enough.
There's also a fun mini golf course set up in an arrangement of a castle. Play your way through various castle walls, bridges, and moats, coming face to face with a big and cartoony green dragon at the last hole. Take a swing and sink the ball in its mouth to finish the game! But watch out, because if you miss a ball will be spat back out at you. If you happen to be successful though, the dragon will roar and shower you in fun confetti. Yippee! As always, scattered around the area are carts full of refreshing snacks and drinks to enjoy like sweet little desserts and iced tea. Why not make a little picnic for yourselves and enjoy the nice weather? You could even make it a cute date if you’d like. Oh my…
